Description : Frankincense essential oil is well-known for its calming effects, and its ability to encourage communication. It helps meditation, and promotes a restful sleep. It reduces inflammation, is healing to the skin, and helps reduce wrinkles.
Use : soothes and calms the mind, slowing down and deepening breathing, calm anxiety and obsessive states linked to the past, clears the lungs and helps with shortness of breath, asthma, bronchitis, laryngitis, coughs and colds, tonic to the uterus and has a calming effect during labor, helpful for rheumatism, help rejuvenate an ageing skin, effective with sores, carbuncles, wounds, scars and skin inflammation.
Blend well with : Sandalwood, Vetiver, Pine Needle, Geranium, Lavender, Neroli, spices like Cinnamon, and citruses like Orange and Bergamot.
Direction:
Oil Burner: Add 4 drops of essential oil for a burning time of 20 minutes.
Massage: Dilute 3-5 drops of essential oil in 10 ml. of carrier oil.
Inhalation: Put 5 drops in 200 ml. of steamed water and inhale for 3-5 minutes.
Bath: Put 15 drops of essential oil in the bath tub for a 20 minutes bath.
Precautions : Frankincense oil is non-toxic and non-irritant and can be used by most people.
