Cypress Essential Oil

Aromatic Description  :  Woody, slightly spicy and refreshing masculine smell.
Therapeutic properties  :  Astringent, antiseptic, antispasmodic, deodorant, diuretic, haemostatic, hepatic, styptic, sudorific, vasoconstrictor, respiratory tonic and sedative.

Description : Cypress essential oil is known to reduce stress and tension. It relaxes the muscles, and tones skin. It is calming and promotes a restful sleep. It is known to regulate the female reproductive system, and reduce cellulite deposits.

Use : Has a calming and soothing effect on the irritable, angry and stressed-out person, beneficial in conditions of excess fluid, such as bleeding, nosebleeds, heavy menstruation, soothe muscular cramps, help to regulate the menstrual cycle, help to ease arthritis and rheumatic pain and beneficial to oily as well as congested skin and wounds.

Blend well with : Clary Sage, Cedarwood, Lavender, Juniper Berry, Marjoram, Pine Needle, Sandalwood, and citrus oils like Lemon, Grapefruit, Mandarin, and Orange.

Direction:
Oil Burner: Add 4 drops of essential oil for a burning time of 20 minutes.
Massage: Dilute 3-5 drops of essential oil in 10 ml. of carrier oil.
Inhalation: Put 5 drops in 200 ml. of steamed water and inhale for 3-5 minutes.
Bath: Put 15 drops of essential oil  in the bath tub for a 20 minutes bath.

Precautions : The oil is considered non-toxic, non-irritant and non-sensitizing but it is best to avoid it during pregnancy. It is also best to do a skin patch test before using it in a massage blend.
