German Chamomile Essential Oil

Aromatic Description : Sweet, apple-like fragrance, herbaceous.
Therapeutic properties : Analgesic, anti-allergenic, anti-spasmodic, antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, antiphlogistic, bactericidal, carminative, cicatrisant, cholagogue, emmenagogue, hepatic, digestive, sedative, stomachic, vermifuge, vasoconstrictor and vulnerary.
Description : German Chamomile has greater anti-inflammatory properties than its Roman counterpart due to its higher percentage of azulene. Its anti-inflammatory properties make it one of the best essential oils for skin care and muscle and joint pain. Use as a massage on sore muscles or as a cold compress. It is a soothing oil that helps ease anxiety, relieve stress and nervous tension, and promote sleep.
Use : has a calming effect on the mind and body and is excellent in treating any type of inflammation, stimulates the liver and gall bladder, improve digestion and treat menstrual and menopausal problems, calms red, dry and irritated skin, as well as calming allergies, eczema, psoriasis and all other flaky skin problems.
Blend well with : Bergamot, Clary Sage, Lavender, Marjoram, Neroli, Rose, Patchouli, Ylang Ylang, Geranium, and Lemon.
Direction:
Oil Burner: Add 4 drops of essential oil for a burning time of 20 minutes.
Massage: Dilute 3-5 drops of essential oil in 10 ml. of carrier oil.
Inhalation: Put 5 drops in 200 ml. of steamed water and inhale for 3-5 minutes.
Bath: Put 15 drops of essential oil in the bath tub for a 20 minutes bath.
Precautions : Chamomile oil are considered non-toxic and non-irritant, yet since they do have emmenagogue properties when used in high concentrations, they should be avoided during pregnancy
