Description : Sandalwood essential oil is known for its relaxing effects. It reduces nervousness, stress, and anxiety. It is an anti-fungal, bacteria-fighting essential oil. It helps meditation, and promotes restful sleep. It repairs skin damage, and encourages new cell growth. It is also said to be an aphrodisiac. Sandalwood essential oil is very useful in skin care to moisturize dry, chapped, or cracked skin, soothe irritation, and improve tone and complexion. It was traditionally thought to be disinfecting and was used as incense in cleansing rituals to purify the air.
Use : Reduces tension and confusion, use in depression, hectic daily lifestyles and states of fear, stress, nervous exhaustion, chronic illness and anxiety, Chronic chest infections, sore throats and dry coughs as well as bronchitis and asthma can benefit greatly from this oil, helpful with sexual problems such as frigidity and impotence, relieves itching and inflammation of the skin, effective in relieving dehydrated skin,prevent the skin from forming ugly scars and for fighting dry eczema.
Blend well with : Bergamot, Clove Bud, Jasmine, Patchouli, Rose, Myrrh, Black Pepper, and Vetiver.
Direction:
Oil Burner: Add 4 drops of essential oil for a burning time of 20 minutes.
Massage: Dilute 3-5 drops of essential oil in 10 ml. of carrier oil.
Inhalation: Put 5 drops in 200 ml. of steamed water and inhale for 3-5 minutes.
Bath: Put 15 drops of essential oil in the bath tub for a 20 minutes bath.
Precautions : It is considered a non-toxic, non-irritant and non-sensitizing oil.
