Aromatic Description  :  Spicy, sharp, warm and earthy and woody.
Therapeutic properties  :  The therapeutic properties of Ginger oil are analgesic, anti-emetic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, bactericidal, carminative, cephalic, expectorant, febrifuge, laxative, rubefacient, stimulant, stomachic, sudorific and tonic.

Description : Ginger essential oil is warming to the body and is known to reduce inflammation. It relieves sore muscles, menstrual cramps, and headaches. It increases blood circulation, and is said to be a sexual stimulant. It also reduces drowsiness, and irritability, in addition to helping to increase concentration and mental energy.

Use : Ginger oil is used in the treatment of fractures, rheumatism, arthritis, bruising, carbuncles, nausea, hangovers, travel and sea sickness, colds and flu, catarrh, congestion, coughs, sinusitis, sores on the skin, sore throat, diarrhea, colic, cramps, chills and fever.

Blend well with : Sandalwood, Vetiver, Patchouli, Frankincense, Cedarwood, Coriander, Rose, Linden Blossom, and citruses like Orange.

Direction:
Oil Burner: Add 4 drops of essential oil for a burning time of 20 minutes.
Massage: Dilute 3-5 drops of essential oil in 10 ml. of carrier oil.
Inhalation: Put 5 drops in 200 ml. of steamed water and inhale for 3-5 minutes.
Bath: Put 15 drops of essential oil  in the bath tub for a 20 minutes bath.

Precautions : Ginger oil is non-toxic and non-irritant (except when used in high concentrations) but could irritate sensitive skins and can also cause photosensitivity.

General Safety Information : Do not take any oils internally.  If you are pregnant, epileptic, have liver damage, have cancer, or have any other medical problem, use oils only under the proper guidance of a qualified aromatherapy practitioner. Use extreme caution when using oils with children and be sure to first read the recommended dilution ratios for children.
