Description : Lime essential oil is cooling to the body. It is mood uplifting, refreshing, and energizing. It helps relieve fatigue. It improves mental clarity and memory. It help reduce cellulite deposits, and has a purifying effect on the body. It is a good skin toner that can also improve the appearance of oily, dull, and blemish-prone skin. Lime is a great addition to household cleaners and air fresheners.
Use : Cool fevers associated with colds, sore throats and flu and aids the immune system while easing coughs, bronchitis and sinusitis, help asthma, stimulate and refresh a tired mind and help with depression, help for arthritis, rheumatism and poor circulation, cellulit, has an astringent and toning action to clear oily skin and acne, help with herpes, insect bites and cuts.
Blend well with : Neroli, Citronella, Lavender, Lavandin, Rosemary, Clary Sage, Spearmint, and other citruses.
Direction:
Oil Burner: Add 4 drops of essential oil for a burning time of 20 minutes.
Massage: Dilute 3-5 drops of essential oil in 10 ml. of carrier oil.
Inhalation: Put 5 drops in 200 ml. of steamed water and inhale for 3-5 minutes.
Bath: Put 15 drops of essential oil in the bath tub for a 20 minutes bath.
Precautions : Non-toxic, non-irritant and non-sensitizing if the oil is obtained by steam extraction, yet the oil obtained from cold expression can cause photosensitivity in strong sunshine and can irritate the skin.
