Aromatic Description : Very floral, fresh, sweet and slightly fruity.
Therapeutic properties : Acne, bruises, burns, cuts, dermatitis, eczema, hemorrhoids, lice, as a mosquito repellant, ringworm, ulcers, breast engorgement, edema, poor circulation, sore throat, tonsillitis, PMS, menopausal problems, stress and neuralgia.
Description : It's uplifting, mentally balancing, and helps relieve stress and anxiety. Geranium is one of the best essential oils for skin care because it helps balance the skin’s production of sebum and is a natural astringent, increasing blood flow and improving skin tone and elasticity. It has traditionally been used to support a healthy reproductive system and ease menstrual cramps and menopausal symptoms. Geranium can also help deter insects and outdoor pests.
Use : Help in the treatment of acne, bruises, burns, cuts, dermatitis, eczema, hemorrhoids, lice, mosquito repellant, ringworm, ulcers, breast engorgement, edema, poor circulation, sore throat, tonsillitis, PMS, menopausal problems, stress and neuralgia.
Blend well with : Jasmine, Lavender, Neroli, Rose, Patchouli, Sandalwood, and citruses like Bergamot and Grapefruit.
Direction:
Oil Burner: Add 4 drops of essential oil for a burning time of 20 minutes.
Massage: Dilute 3-5 drops of essential oil in 10 ml. of carrier oil.
Inhalation: Put 5 drops in 200 ml. of steamed water and inhale for 3-5 minutes.
Bath: Put 15 drops of essential oil in the bath tub for a 20 minutes bath.
Precautions : Geranium oil does not cause any side effects, since it is non-toxic, non-irritant and generally non-sensitizing, yet can cause sensitivity in some people and due to the fact that it balances the hormonal system, it might not be a good idea to use it during pregnancy.
